Brother and sister born on opposite sides of the Atlantic, Lee-Ann and Pat Curren are joining forces for a duo tour.
Coming from an iconic surfing dynasty, they have each carved out a distinct universe.
Pat, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist with 5 studio albums to his name, delivers an organic sound blending rock, jazz, and folk, infused with his American-Panamanian roots. Live, this translates to a power trio with Pat on vocals and guitar, Lee-Ann on bass, and Clement Roussel on drums—a performance exploring the full palette of Pat’s songwriting and influences.
Lee-Ann explores a more textured, hybrid direction, combining folk songwriting, samples, and electronic experimentation. Sounds from her productions are loaded into her sampler, ready to be distorted, modulated, and used as an instrument in itself. Pat on drums, and Clement on trimba (percussion) and glockenspiel.
An instinctive collaboration where their musical identities echo one another. Between stripped-down acoustics and lo-fi modernity, their world evokes Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett, Alex G, or a poetic electronica reminiscent of Mount Kimbie.
Their lineups can be booked as a double bill (two 45-minute sets) or separately.
